INTRODUCING SANDRA L. BELL - CHILDREN'S AUTHOR

Hi everybody!  My name is Sandy and, with the help of Friesen Press, I’m a newly-minted, self-published, Canadian Children's author.

I have always had a fond affection for children and been thoroughly amused by their incredible imaginations.   Having been blessed with two amazing sons, each with very diverse interests, I had the opportunity to be introduced to a wide-variety of adventurous tales.

Being somewhat timid myself, I found myself drawn to books with courageous protagonists such as Anne of Green Gables and Zorro.

I used to love throwing themed-based, adventure birthday parties for my sons.  One of the most popular parties was a dinosaur treasure hunt.  The kids were so excited as they raced from clue to clue.  It gave me such pleasure to see the excited looks on their faces.  It was from those parties that I decided to write a children’s adventure book and, of course, it had to include a treasure hunt.
I hope that children enjoy my story and that it can take them away to a magical land where anything is possible.  With the trying times everyone is now facing, especially children, I hope their imaginations can run free in a happy and care-free fantasy.

My love of children and my ability to connect with them in a positive and warm way, has helped me create a story that young children and middle-graders will enjoy and embrace as they face the everyday obstacles of being a kid. 

I am excited for my book to become a reality!  It is an amazing experience to see something that has been in my imagination transported onto the pages of a beautiful children’s book.

I grew up within a wonderful and loving family in the beautiful city of Montreal.  I now currently work and reside in St. Catharines, Ontario.
